SUBSTANTIAL DIFFERENCES

SUMMARY

One of the cornerstones of the Lisbon Recognition Convention is that recognition should be granted, unless there is a substantial difference between the foreign qualification and the required one. In this chapter, guidelines are given to judge whether differences between qualifications are substantial or not, and recommendations on how to report substantial differences to the applicant.
